(Zhiguang Electric Technology) — successfully commissioned a tailor-made 10kV reactive power compensation capacitor bank and active power filter (FC+APF) complete set for a large-scale mining production area.

        Building on the previously stable operation of SVG dynamic reactive power compensation devices in the region, Zhiguang Electric Technology implemented a comprehensive “SVG+FC+APF” power quality management solution. This system provides a reliable power guarantee for high-power core production equipment such as mine hoists and fans, effectively promoting efficient, stable, and energy-saving upgrades in mining operations.


        During mining production, equipment such as mine hoists and fans can cause two major power issues: “reactive power surges” and “harmonic pollution.” The former leads to unstable grid voltage and frequent equipment trips during startups, while the latter acts like “impurities” in the power system, accelerating equipment aging and increasing energy consumption.

        Zhiguang Electric Technology’s team conducted an in-depth analysis of the mining load characteristics and the actual operating conditions of the mine’s 10kV grid, and designed a phased solution of “compensate reactive power first, then mitigate harmonics,” precisely matching on-site requirements.

        SVG Dynamic Reactive Power Compensation Device: The Grid’s “Core Regulator”

        The site employs Zhiguang Electric Technology’s independently developed 10kV indoor water-cooled ZG-dSVG dynamic reactive power compensation device, with a rated reactive power capacity of 34 MVar, serving as a core device to ensure grid stability.


        1.Rapid Response: Quickly converts between capacitive and inductive reactive power, smoothing voltage fluctuations during hoist startups.

        2.Stable Operation: Uses circulating water-cooling design, suitable for mining temperature variations, enabling long-term maintenance-free operation.

        The newly commissioned reactive power compensation capacitor bank and active power filter (FC+APF) combined set forms a full-spectrum harmonic mitigation system. The FC device provides 12 MVar fundamental compensation capacity with dedicated filtering channels for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th harmonics; the APF device has a rated compensation current of 200A, covering 2nd–25th harmonics (expandable to higher orders).
