On December 29, Mr. Hitesh Chug, Vice Chairmen Vinmart Group of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, together with Mr. Rushi Chug,  Director Vinmart Group, led a delegation to visit Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd. for discussions on cooperation. Mr. Li Yongxi, Chairman of Zhiguang Electric, Mr. Jiang Xinyu, President and Dr. Lin Zebo, Senior Vice President, warmly received the delegation. In-depth talks were held on cooperation in Africa’s renewable energy and materials sectors as well as synergies in overseas market development. Both sides conducted professional exchanges on solar-plus-storage microgrid energy solutions for mining areas and industrial parks across ten African countries, reaching consensus on multiple projects.

Chairman Li Yongxi welcomed the Vinmart delegation and introduced Zhiguang Electric’s development history and overall strategic positioning. He noted that Africa represents one of the most promising regions globally for renewable energy development. Zhiguang Electric attaches great importance to energy transition opportunities in Africa and hopes to leverage its technological and industrial strengths to establish long-term, stable, and sustainable cooperation with enterprises like Vinmart Group that possess strong local resources and industrial integration capabilities.

Mr. Hitesh Chug and Mr. Rushi Chug of Vinmart Group stated that Chinese enterprises demonstrate significant advantages in renewable energy technologies and engineering practices. They expressed their expectation to build long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with Zhiguang Electric in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and ten neighboring countries, jointly promoting the large-scale application of clean energy in the mining and industrial sectors.

Accompanied by Dr. Lin Zebo, the Vinmart delegation visited Lingnan Cable manufacturing base, Yonghe Energy Storage manufacturing workshop, and the Zhiguang Electric headquarters exhibition hall, gaining a comprehensive understanding of Zhiguang Electric’s industrial layout and strengths in cable manufacturing and energy storage systems.

Dr. Lin Zebo introduced the company’s international business development in recent years. Since 2024, Zhiguang Electric has accelerated its global expansion, achieving multiple business breakthroughs in key regions including Europe, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific.

Both parties agreed that by leveraging Vinmart Group’s industrial resource advantages in Africa and combining them with Zhiguang Electric’s mature technological systems and extensive engineering experience, a collaborative “technology + industry + market” development model can be established, enabling synergy across upstream and downstream segments of the industrial value chain.

On the same day, Vinmart and Zhiguang Electric signed a cooperation agreement. This signing marks a leapfrog breakthrough for Zhiguang Electric in Africa’s solar-plus-storage renewable energy market and will provide strong momentum for the company to achieve its strategic goal of large-scale, high-quality overseas business development by 2026.
